Ramadhan On Wheels (ROW)
Ramadhan On-Wheels (ROW) materialized when 4PM realized the difficulties faced by the elderly, low income and dysfunctional families, in particular our experience in the late 80’s in collecting provisions. 4PM undertook ROW as a platform to introduce community service and encourage the service-learning framework by tapping on its large pool of volunteers to send food provisions directly to clients’ homes. Since its inception in 2001, ROW has reached out to 2,000 Muslim and non-Muslim families, involving about 6,000 Muslim and non-Muslim youth volunteers.
4PM’s mission, which is to “Unite & Serve”, has aspired to garner the community to come together in a spirit of co-operation, united with a common purpose to help uplift the community. The collaborations with Eunos Community Club, North East CDC, Central Singapore CDC, Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS), Lee Foundation and Far East Organisation have reflected the many helping hands concept towards community services.
